I have had many wonderful times here at UF and one of my favorite activites was being part of the Geocaching Gators Club. I wanted to hide a little series around campus taking others to some spots that I have had great memories of over the past few years. I hope anyone who visits UF and the Gainesville area, either as a visitor, student, parent, friend, professor, local or geocacher can make their own happy memories here as well.
There is a big debate on campus between the two main libraries, either you are Team Marston or Team West. I am and always have been Team West. I know it is the superior library and it has so much to offer from the double-screen computers, wonderful views of University avenue, Plaza of the Americas, and Century tower, the graduate only floor, and thousands and thousands of DVDs (it is like Blockbuster has been resurrected!).
Plaza of the Americas is where I (and countless other students) spend time studying, hanging out, getting the classic Krishna lunch, reading, eating lunch, meeting up with friends, or just walking by enjoying hearing the bells of Century Tower. Occasionally the sprinklers do go off and it is fun avoiding getting wet from them! This cache is a micro and is close to the sidewalk.
