Geocache Description:

Drive out Beach Road to the very end. Trail is level except for some ravines. Okay for kids.

From downtown Haines drive out Beach Road to the end. Sometimes referred to as Beach Road Extention. Park at the trail head. You will not have GPS coverage until the last 0.3 miles because of trees, but don't worry. The trail is easy to follow. You will break out onto the beach after about 0.9 miles. This is a good spot to mark a waypoint, so you can find the correct spot to leave the beach on the way home. Cache is in a Tupperware container. After you find the cache, look directly across Lynn Canal to Santa Claus Mt. See if you can find Santa's profile on the peak. Weather permitting, of course.
