Once upon a time there was a little cricket clinging to the branches of a tree. (https://coord.info/GC7H9AG) He was colored in pretty shades of green and brown and blended in well with the tree. All day long he would talk to the tree and watch people come and go. Occasionally a kind person would come and pet him and talk to him and sign his log. Then one day a deep freeze fell over the land and the little cricket got very cold. He decided to go somewhere out of the wind to warm up a bit so he jumped over to a silver fence beside the tree. But his pretty green and brown colors made him easy to see on the fence and he was very afraid that mean people called “muggles” would come and take him away. So, being a smart cricket and a master of disguise, he changed his color and shape to blend in with the silver fence. And lived happily ever after … so far.
