Geocache Description:

01 May 2021, 09:00 - 10:00

May Day is a public holiday usually celebrated on 1 May or the first Monday of May. It is an ancient festival of spring and a current traditional spring holiday in many European cultures. Dances, singing, and cake are usually part of the festivities.

There will be no dancing or cake, but feel free to sing to your hearts content as you paddle out to GZ.

Its spring time and therefor its time to dust off the watercrft and get out and enjoy the views of our great state from a different point of view.

There will be an anchor point to tie off to while we all take in view.

This will be a socially distant event, with masks STRONGLY encouraged when within 6 feet of anyone.

Come join us on the water (in a boat, NON-MOTORIZED of course) to welcome the summer season. I will be in my yak in the middle of the lake waiting for you. You will have to be on the water between 9:00am and 10:00am to get credit for attending.

This is a SPLASH-MOB, which mean it is a 5 terrain event. You will need a boat of some sort to get credit for attending.

*** As always, be sure to practice proper boating safety. ***

*** Never boat alone, and be sure to always wear a proper flotation device.***
