Geocache Description:

The Fifth of a few caches around the town of Brampton.

They can be done as a series or individually.

You will need your own pen and possibly tweezers,  please be aware the caches are in busy areas so please keep an eye out for muggles and rehide the caches safely.

Please take care with the Geokids as some caches may be near roads that need crossing

This cache is near the Moot Hall in the market place .The Moot Hall A grade II* building was built for the Earl of Carlisle in 1817 to replace a 17th century Town Hall. It was given to the Parish Council in 1896. It is an octagonal building. It was originally open on the ground floor where a butter, egg and poultry market was held. The upper floor has the meeting chamber which is now the Tourist Office. The tower has a clock and a cupola containing the market bell and a weather vane. Near to the entrance there is a set of stocks and a bull ring. There is a bronze wall plaque to Robert Burn, a local poet who died in 1902
