This cache has been placed with kind permission of the Churchwardens and Vicar for allowing this cache. However it isn't in the church grounds but as Close as Geocaching rules apply to a nearby cache.
St John's was the first post reformation church to be built in Derby. It was built in 1828 designed by Francis Goodwin and it make much use of cast iron, which is a rairity in church architecture in the Late Georgian Period.
It has a fine Fr Willis organ and great accoustics inside. If the church is open feel free to go in and explore.
To those who have geokids and geohounds please be careful as it is a busy area.
