Geocache Description:

Mount Evelyn Christian School is a K-12 school established in 1973 on 15 acres (6 hectares), initially as a primary school, and then later expanding into secondary, and then kinder education.

The property is part of a 320 acre (129 hectare) selection that was first settled in 1877, and  farmed for a number of years by various owners.

A wooden framed, corrugated iron clad structure, known as Hawkins Hut, was constructed on the property some time in the 1920s, and it still stands today in the school grounds.

There is also an area of remnant bush at the rear of the school grounds, and this, combined with the large number of trees throughout the grounds, makes for a very pleasant environment for the school community.

The iTEEM family has been associated with MECS in various ways since 2009, and decided to make it the location for our first cache.

The cache has been placed inside the boundary of the MECS grounds with the consent of the school administration, and is accessible without entering the property.

Access is 24/7, with plenty of parking, but during school hours, there will be cars, and muggles, galore.  It is generally quiet outside school hours, and the difficulty level is based on out of school hours traffic levels. It could well be a difficulty 3.0 during school hours.

The cache size whilst larger than most micros, still has very limited space for swaps. A pencil is provided.

Please replace the cache gently and exactly as found. We hope you enjoy it.

Well done on the FTF The Welder
