Geocache Description:

Feel free to add any schwag - it appears the cache must not have been re-hidden as well as it had originally been so muggles stole everything.

This is caccbag's 900th geocache! We have really enjoyed making, hosting, maintaining and hiding caches. These are in multiple states and countries.   The best part is meeting other cachers whether in person, via e-mail, or through the logs.

PLEASE RE-HIDE WELL!!!!  MUGGLES CAN APPEAR FROM EITHER DIRECTION ON THE TRAIL SO USE STEALTH.   IT IS UNDER A TREE TRUNK AND TETHERED TO THAT TRUNK - HAS NATURAL CAMO (A BRANCH AND A SHEET OF BARK).  PLEASE RE-HIDE OUT-OF SIGHT.

IT HAS A LOG AND WRITING UTENSIL IN A SEALABLE BAG - PLEASE RE-SEAL.  IT HAS A HANDFUL OF TRINKETS/TRADE ITIMES - TAKE ONE & LEAVE ONE....AND RE-SEAL THAT BAG AS WELL PLEASE.

NOW THIS PART IS IN BOLD RED FONT.  WE SAW SOME POISON OAK WHEN WE HID THIS CACHE.  WE THINK WE AVOIDED AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BUT I DID GET A SMALL PATCH ON MY FOREARM HIDING THE REPLACEMENT.   AS SUCH, BE CAREFUL, WASH UP AFTER YOUR SEARCH AND/OR FIND, AND USE ANY ANTI-P.O. PROCEDURES THAT YOU MAY OPT TO DO OR USE.  THE CACHE IS A FEW FEET OFF THE TRAIL SO THERE IS NO REAL BUSHWHACKING REQUIRED.

The cache is an ammo box (well...a green plastic one) tethered to a tree stump/fallen trunk.  We have filled it with some goodies - young kids will love the selection.  Please take one and leave one.  We supplied one pen with the log book.  It is in a shallow depression between two fallen tree trunks.  It is covered with some natural camo (wood and bark).  PLEASE rehide the cache well.

There is a parking lot right near GZ on Crystal Springs Road.  It  was free to park when we hid the cache.  There are wooden steps down to the trail to get to the cache.  There appears to be nice trails for easy hikes and strolling.  GZ is also right next to a park with tennis courts, a playground, picnic tables, and a pool and you can also access the trail from that direction.

GZ is also close to Junipero Serra County Park that has a parking lot, playground, rest rooms, trash and recycling facilities, and picnic tables  (you should check in advance what is open or what is closed for use).  There is a fee for vehicles to enter Junipero Serra County Park, but pedestrians and cyclists are free.

Watch for muggles (they can appear from either direction).  Please hide again as found  and please COVER it again with the wood/bark and log.

Enjoy the find!
