Geocache Description:

There are many reasons why I am grateful to be a native speaker of English, for I would never want to have to learn it as a second language with all its quirks and complexities.   For example, a contronym is a word in the English language which, depending on context, can have two opposite meanings.  One example is bolt, which can mean either to fasten, or to flee.   See if you can find the word for each blank that can mean EITHER of the definitions in parentheses.   Try it on your own first, and if necessary you can consult Uncle Google for a list of contronyms.

1.  ______________________________     (an exemplar, a copy)

2.  ______________________________   (to approve, or to boycott)

3.  _____________________________     (to supervise, or to neglect)

4.  _____________________________      (invisible, or obvious)

5.  _____________________________     (to withstand, or to wear away)

6.  _____________________________     (a member of the nobility, an equal)

7.  _____________________________    (remained, or departed)

8. _____________________________     (visible, as with stars, or off, as with light)

9. ______________________________    (to connect, or to break or collapse

10. ____________________________     (to present, or to conceal)

After you have completed the puzzle, count the total number of letters in all of the answers, and subtract that number from N.

I suggest that you use the recommended parking coordinates.   The cache is not a long distance away, and it's a nice short walk through Hennessey Field, which is a quiet small park in Norwood which may someday find another use but is currently open space with well-maintained trails.   Dog walking is welcomed.   It's a relaxing and beautiful parcel of land to meander through.   I can't put my finger on it, but something feels special about this little spot.   I always enjoy walking through it.

You are looking for a medium-sized (originally peanut butter) jar covered with duct tape.   There are a number of trinkets inside, including a coin for the FTF.   Enjoy!
