I've been on many walks arround Bassingbourn over the last year. This is at a point where a public path heads diagonally across a field (hence the name with a not very oblique reference to Harry Potter!). The path north of it is pretty good all year, but if you plan to head over the field then that bit can get muddy in winter or excesive rain. It also gets ploughed over in autumn most years, but is always marked out and soon gets firmed down by walkers - just be aware that it might be extra muddy around that time!
Cache is a disguised film canister. There were some nettles at the time of placing.
(planned to be one of series of caches on paths and byways round Bassingbourn)
