Wichtig bei der Konzeption der Infobox war es, dass diese auch in Zeiten von Corona ganzjährig betretbar ist. Diese Möglichkeit ergibt sich aus der offenen Bauweise der Infobox selbst. Im Sinne der Nachhaltigkeit wurde ein alter Gütercontainer recycelt und zur Infobox umgebaut. Die Infobox selbst ist mit einem speziellen Bildschirm ausgestattet, der einen virtuellen Flug über das Projektgebiet des neuen Kraftwerks Obervellach II möglich macht und einzelne Projektbestandteile anschaulich erklärt. Neben einem geschichtlichen Abriss zum ÖBB Kraftwerkstandort Obervellach und Informationen zum Bau gibt es direkt angeschlossen an die Infobox einen Videowürfel, in dem die Erzeugung des Bahnstroms für Groß und Klein interessant erklärt wird.
This is intended to provide an overview of the “Obervellach II power plant” construction project and the generation of traction current. When designing the infobox, it was important that it can be accessed all year round, even in times of Corona. This possibility arises from the open construction of the Infobox itself. In the interests of sustainability, an old freight container was recycled and converted into an Infobox. The info box itself is equipped with a special screen that enables a virtual flight over the project area of the new Obervellach II power plant and clearly explains individual project components. In addition to a historical outline of the ÖBB power station in Obervellach and information on the construction, there is a video cube directly connected to the info box, in which the generation of traction current is explained in an interesting way for young and old.
