Nad gričevnatim svetom Ljubljanske kotline, med Tržičem in Begunjami na Gorenjskem, se dviga razgledna, 1634 m visoka Dobrča. Za vzpon imamo na izbiro več markiranih poti, ki večinoma vodijo iz podgorskih vasi Brezje pri Tržiču, Hudi graben in Srednja vas. Če izberemo pot, ki pelje mimo koče, se že tam ozrimo naokoli. Razgled je res enkraten na skoraj vse strani neba. Pogled na sever namreč zakriva pobočje Dobrče. Na vzhodu vidimo Kriško goro, Storžič in Kamniško-Savinjske Alpe, na jugovzhodu Posavsko hribovje, Ljubljansko kotlino in notranjsko hribovje vključno s Snežnikom. Vidimo tudi Polhograjsko in Škofjeloško pogorje, Jelovico in Pokljuko ter Julijske Alpe s Triglavom. Zanesljivo smo še dovolj ogreti, da se povzpnemo na dobre pol ure oddaljen vrh Dobrče, po daljši, precej razgibani poti pa pridemo tudi do planine Preval pod Begunjščico.
Above the hilly Ljubljana Basin, between Tržič and Begunje na Gorenjskem, rises the panoramic 1634-metre-high mountain of Dobrča. You can choose from among a number of marked paths to reach the summit, most of them starting from the foothill villages of Brezje pri Tržiču, Hudi Graben or Srednja Vas. All the hard work of the climb is forgotten the moment you arrive at the hut, where you will first want to take in the views all around. They are truly spectacular in virtually all directions. The view to the north is obscured by the slopes of Dobrča, but to the east you can see Kriška Gora, Storžič and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, to the southeast the Sava Hills, the Ljubljana Basin, and the mountain ranges of Slovenia's interior, including Snežnik. You can also see the Polhov Gradec and Škofja Loka range, the plateaus of Jelovica and Pokljuka, and the Julian Alps with Triglav. If you are still warmed up you can climb to the top of Dobrča in about half an hour, or take a longer route over rugged terrain to the mountain pasture of Preval below Begunjščica.
Oberhalb des hügeligen Laibacher Beckens, zwischen Tržič und Begunje im Oberkrain erhebt sich der 1634m hohe Berg Dobrča. Für den Aufstieg haben wir die Wahl zwischen mehreren markierten Wegen, von denen die meisten von den unter den Bergen liegenden Dörfern wie Brezje pri Tžiču, Hudi graben oder Srednja vas ausgehen. Die Anstrengung des Aufstiegs ist vergessen, sobald man zu der Schutzhütte kommt, wo man sich zunächst einmal umsieht. Die Aussicht ist wirklich in fast alle Himmelsrichtungen einzigartig. Die Aussicht nach Norden wird nämlich vom Gipfel Dobrča verborgen. Im Osten kann man die Kriska gora, Storžič und die Kamniker-Savinjer Alpen, im Südosten das Posavje Gebirge, das Laibacher-Becken und das Notranjska Gebirge einschließlich des Snežnik sehen. Wir sehen auch das Polhograjsko und Škofjeloško Gebirge, Jelovica, Pokljuka und die Julischen Alpen mit dem Triglav. Wenn wir noch ausreichend Kraft haben, können wir in knapp einer halben Stunde auf dem Gipfel von Dobrča sein. Über den längeren Weg gelangen wir auch auf den Berg Preval pod Begunjščico.
