Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates.

However, the posted coordinates take you to a section of the original Lincoln Highway pavement. It can be seen across the street while you are stopped at Joerger Cutoff Road and Clarksville Xing.

At four of the ten Lincoln Highway Clarksville Adventure Lab locations, you will get a bonus word after correctly answering the question. Enter the four bonus words in ALPHABETICAL ORDER into Certitude to get the final coordinates and hint for this cache. The four labs with bonus cache information are: Clarksville Cemetery, Morman Tavern, Carson Creek Bridge and Clarksville.

The Lincoln Highway was the first transcontinental road for automobiles in the United States.  It was established in 1913, spanning 3,389 miles, from Times Square in New York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco.  In California, portions of Interstate 80, most of U.S. Route 50 and most of old U.S. Route 40 are alignments of the Lincoln Highway. In the Clarksville and nearby area, the Lincoln Highway followed what is now known as Old Bass Lake Road, Tong Road, Joerger Cutoff Road, Old White Rock Road and Durock Road.
