Hello there, Geocastaway!
Before you get started, here's a shoutout from the winner of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X: Adam Klein.
This is Episode 01 of the Survivor: Pearl Islands trilogy, the 2nd season of my Geocache Survivor Series.
This season, geocastaways get to be pirates in search for gold hidden along the expedition of some of the most famous explorers, after whom the tribes of Survivor: Pearl Islands were named. In addition, FTF pirate can actually claim the gold at GZ.
NOTE: For traditional geocachers, GZ is revealed at the end of this page.

For the geocastaways of tribe BALBOA:
- Vasco Núñez de Balboa was a Spanish explorer, governor, and conquistador. He is best known for having crossed the Isthmus of Panama to the Pacific Ocean in 1513, becoming the first European to lead an expedition to have seen or reached the Pacific from the New World. During his conquest to claim the South Sea ("Mar del Sur", the modern day Pacific ocean), Balboa battled numerous "Caciques", courageous chieftains of indigenous inhabitants of the western lands. (From: Wikipedia)
- The waypoints represent eight of the caciques protecting their lands' treasures; however, only ONE protects precious gold.
ROLES:
- Be a Conquistador and engage all caciques
- Or a Hisorian who studies the untamed lands
- Or a true Teasure Hunter who solves the mystery of the land of gold from hints from the past:

NOTES:
- Like most mystery caches, the physical container is NOT at the published coordinates. However, it is the starting point for the treasure hunter. You don't wanna miss this quick puzzle, the amazing view, and unreal experience.
- The container is a micro, so please do BYOP.
- The treasure hunter's pit can only be done from 6am to 6pm.
- Unfortunately, pets are NOT allowed at the treasure hunter's pit (Sorry in advance Zelda!).
- Since this location is under Sydney Olympic Park Authority, please DO NOT enter areas off pathways and structures such as boardwalks.
- The loot can be accessed along designated pathways/structures for visitors and is NOT placed in trees or other living things in the GZ.
LOGGING REQUESTS:
- Please do log the ROLE (conquistador, historian, or treasure hunter) you assumed in order to get to the right Cacique's protected land.
- Please do log if you have claimed the gold.
- Please do NOT log direct spoilers (e.g. waypoint stop) but feel free to add your own cryptic clues.
- Be as creative as you want. I love reading your logs (you know who you are *wink* *wink*).
FTF:
- Rama497 has claimed the gold! Felicidades!
HINTS and SPOILERS!
- At the Brickpit Walk, there are sets of coloured panels on the outer side separated by clear ones. The finder must collect all sets of three colours ("Triads of Hue") which are on the "El Codigo de Color". See image below for one of the target sets of three coloured panels:
- REVEAL.
I am a traditional geocacher and I agree to reveal the GZ for this cache:
