Geocache Description:

Historical Marker Town of Rockwall

YES, I know it is missing and appears to have been cleaned up rather well. I have contacted the city for more information. I don't know what has happened but the Virtual can still be accomplished. Look at the pictures which show where it used to be and you'll know your at the right location. The "proof poles" are still intact so you can still send accomplishment of find to the owner. Have Fun I'll let you know more when I hear from the City.

This marker is located along side the road with a small gravel turnout. It provides some interesting facts about how Rockwall got the name.
When you find the monument (shown in the photo) stand facing it and look to your left AND your right for utility poles.

There are numbers STAMPED on each pole about waist high. Your PROOF that you were there is found in the MISSING numbers (See Photo) -- On both the right and left poles there are STAMPED NUMBERS

THESE NUMBERS ARE NOT THE ANSWER -- There are four (4) numbers on the left pole Vert-451 Horz 2322 463 6552 THESE ARE NOT THE NUMBERS TO CLAIM PROOF

There are 2 lines of missing numbers on each pole. The photos identify the missing lines on each pole OR you can provide all of the numbers you find on the left or right pole. You will have to specify which pole your identification is from.

If you have followed some of the logs you will note that recently there have been some individuals that like to write their own rules.
