The Adventure Lab will have you explore the poems about flora and fauna in this magnificent remnant of the original Northland kauri forest.
Entry to AH Reed Memorial Park is free. This geocache can be found any time of day but it is best during daylight hours.
As the park contains great kauri tress with some being over 500 years old as well as kauri dieback, please use the foot wash stations both entering and leaving the park and stay on the formed trails.
The Canopy Walkway is a 'must do' for anyone visiting or local to Whangārei.
The lab adventure starts at the Lower Car Park. Cross over the bridge by the information board and then right onto the surfaced Alexander Walk to the Canopy Walkway. The Canopy Walkway crosses the valley to some large kauri trees. From the kauris you will use the Elizabeth Track.that loops back to the car park after you gather this bonus geocache.
Once you have completed the Adventure Lab, you should be able to use the virtual coordinates of the bonus (S 35° 41.534' E 174° 20.462') and the additional information from your journal of the lab adventure to calculate the co-ordinates to the final bonus.
Geocaching Adventure Labs are a type of Lab Cache. They were originally developed to offer private or time-limited geocaches. Examples include business partnerships, Mega-Events, and other community events.

- Download the free Adventure Lab app.
- Log in with your Geocaching.com account.

- Navigate to the Adventure location and follow the instructions in the description.
Log a Lab Cache
