This cache is one of Two I am placing as I had to recently archive "CrossRoads" a cache of nearly 18yrs on a confluence point.
This cache is the original Box from Crossroads. For this reason the Cache is in a spot with low horizion views But this makes it safe from the muggles who visit as the location is Too much effort to walk up the slope. Hint in the Box.
To get to this cache you have three options walk Mountain bike or 4WD. I like to walk it. Locals have been coming here for over 30 yrs I know of. The area that the cache is hidden is worth an explore once you get there. Just be aware of the sun climbing in the sky!
*The big sign at the parking is for the section of The Old Coach Road that exits east of Blackbutt. You cannot drive or camp on THIS road.
*The area to the right of the big sign is on the Nation Trail so you can camp to walk it. Alternate acess to right of grassy flat ..if you are capable
* Bush camping only no nothing!!!
*The area you will walk through is national Trail and a designated fossiking area. (not sure why as the gold was mined much coser to Nanango)
*Make sure you carry pleanty of water and start early.
Info on The Bicentenial National Trail
You can find where to get permits for Camp/Fossiking Over Here I feel he has a somewhat Biased view of the area. There is a lot to see at GZ if you take the day to explore.
Leave The GEOHOUND at HOME.. 1080 baiting and Trapping is very active in this area!!!
Rember The SUN will be on your Back coming out in the afternoon.
