Winter Valley Rise Estate.
This is a relatively new estate on the outer edge of Ballarat near Alfredton and Delacombe. It is where we built our first home.
Nice little area, with a walking track that has views of the neighbouring paddocks and you can often see a mob of kangaroos out there. It is a busy estate with plenty of construction and growth going on, none of which will get in the way of your search.
The walking track is where you will find the cache, it is a clear, round plastic container. Take the time to have a walk around up higher on the track you get a nice view of the surrounding paddocks, and at sunset can watch the sun go down providing opportunity for amazing sunset photos; there is often ducks on the water to watch - having grown from ducklings; in the near by paddocks you can view cows grazing; there are often magpies along the track or paddock fenceline that are beautiful to observe (however if not a bird fan, they are not any bother to you) the playground is still partially under construction near by, however some of it is open and ready to play on inlcuding the basketball and netball rings, the rest should soon be completed to which you can take advantage of a play break before/after finding your cache.
This is my first cache to hide hoping for those who live in the area/walking distance it may add a little bit extra to your walk if you happen to be a geocacher, to those who don’t live in the estate, hope it brings a new area for you to explore, please feel free to leave little knick knacks for swapping.....
