I wanted to do something to remember the legacy and pay respect to a man no words or Geocache could ever add up to what this Kind soul,good hearted man impacted so many lives and Contribution to this hobby we all love, but I will do my best. I can only hope that I make the ones closest to him proud. This is a special cache dedicated to the memory of one if not the all around most real , genuine, & good hearted person I have ever had the privilege of meeting. This is just Another way to celebrate all the good that he truly was.
When I first started Geocaching (and I even sometimes still do) I would cache at cemeteries, parks, and filter the list of nearby caches by favorite points and find those. The Geocaches with very high favorites intrigued and fascinated me and peeked my interest into knowing what exactly is it about this hide that gets so many people to give up one (sometimes wishing they could give more than 1😋) of their hard earned hearts.? So as I arrived at GZ,I must admit it with very high expectations, (Not to give too much away Because this Is Made in the same fashion As a tribute to it In a way. Of one of my most memorable finds) But when I got close **bam!!** That's when it hit me...It's not necessarily about the cool container or What experience is being given... All these favorite points Were given to the COs themselves 💡🤓 And with some of the highest favorites in all of Texas, Just Further proves my realization. Bubberdad had a heart of gold. Enough good can't be expressed how truly the most welcoming, willing to share Any wisdom and a true love for the game Geocacher I have ever had privilege of meeting.💯 So....In trying to stay true to form... a positive note😁 To remember everything he did In this hobby we love and even Outside of it. I know somewhere he is smiling down and still Geocaching with everyone of us every day.😎 And When he does get to read this... We love you.💚
Now As for the cache you're searching for...when you Come to a big stump on the edge of the trail, Go Around and further past it, into the tree line. Be looking ground level For some Man-made camouflage covering it. Once you Get to GZ, you Shouldn't be able to miss it. There's Plenty of room for Swag trade & Trackables so please use it for its intended purpose and bring yor TBs and help move the ones you can help with on its mission. Use stealth when needed helps keep them safe and finally. Please this is a great place to share any stories you may have made with him right here in your logs. I'm sure many will read them I know I will. Hint will help but is not needed, park open from dawn to dusk, parking way point provided is closest walk to GZ possible. I hope this leaves every one in good spirits. Couldn't think of anything better to give the Geocaching Godfather better than the sincerest form of Flattery . Hope I made you proud Jack.
