This hide is located within Bluff Park along a steep trail that connects upper North Mankato with lower North Mankato.
Bluff Park is a 31-acre hidden gem in the heart of North Mankato, offering a diversity of ecosystems along the western rim of the Minnesota River Valley. Old growth forests made up primarily of Maple and Oak allow the visitor to feel like they’re in a much larger, more remote, and older part of Minnesota. Watch for small animals and a large variety of birds as you make your way along the river valley bluffs.
Access to this trail can be gained at the end of Mary Lane or off of Lake Street (see added trailhead waypoints). Use caution when walking on this trail and while approaching this cache. Good footwear is highly recommended, as the trail and the drop offs are steep! The difficulty and terrain should be much more challenging in wet weather conditions, so proceed with caution. Please unscrew the entire lid to access the log and swag (rather than popping it open the way you typically would open this container), thanks!
