Old Settler's Park is a great place and the biggest "jewel" in the city of Round Rock's crown of parks. The amount of work and effort needed to keep it in tip top shape is done by many, many hands. Most of them are aware of geocaching and the big role that this park plays in it. Some of them have even found a few of them and they are all pretty cool about the whole concept. Of course, always be sure to say "howdy" if you happen to see them and talk to them if they are nearby. Tell them exactly what you are doing and if you ever need to "drop" a name, use MIKE!
He is the main man out there and he is well aware of what we do. I spoke to him on the day I placed this one because it is very near where much of the park "magic" happens and you are very likely to see some of them nearby. Mike knows how to work this one and he gave his seal of approval for its set up and placement.
Please be sure to reset this one as found for all to enjoy for a long time. Be sure to report any problems and don't worry about bringing a pencil since I added one to the container.
Have fun and good luck!
