八幡山公園という名前は、ここにヤハタの神を祀る八幡社があったことに由来しています。一つの村に一つの神社にせよという明治政府が出した神社合祀令に従い、1911年、その八幡社はセンター北駅近の杉山神社に合祀されて無くなりました。
また、1977年に行われた調査では、縄文早期～中期の竪穴住居、弥生～古墳時代の竪穴住居、平安時代の住居がここで発見されています。こうした歴史あるこの公園の頂上付近にキャッシュを隠しました。ペンをお持ちください。
ちなみに、頂上には石の柱が4本建てられており、それぞれに四角い穴が開いていますが、公園が作られた頃は4本の木製の梁が穴に渡されていたようです。

The name "Hachiman-Yama" comes from the fact that there was Hachiman Shrine. In accordance with the Meiji government's order for one shrine per village, Hachiman Shrine was enshrined at Sugiyama Shrine near Center Kita Station in 1911 and disappeared. In a survey conducted in 1977, pit houses from the early to mid Jomon period, pit houses from the Yayoi to Kofun periods, and houses from the Heian period were discovered here.
At the top of the hill, there are four stone pillars with two square holes each. When the park was built, four wooden beams were passed over the holes.
