This cache is located at the very soutern end of a large rock
formation next to Hwy 72.
Going northbound towards Sioux Lookout the cache location is to
the left of the highway. An ideal parking spot is about 530 Meters
past the cache location on the right. An access road to a gravel
pit provides ample parking on solid ground.
Going southbound towards Dryden there is suitable parking spot
right at the top of the hill beside the rock. The shoulder has a
nice gentle slope allowing you to park right in the ditch. However,
keep in mind that during the spring the ditches here are very soft
and this parking spot may only be useable during the summer
months.
The most practical approach to the cache location is from the
south end of the rock. A small animal trail leads to the base of
the rock. There the rock shapes a valley which leads all the way to
the top. The climb is steep and will require the use of hands. This
is best done on a dry day, can be done with difficulty on a wet day
and is probably suicidal on an icy day.
Once at the top of the rock go all the way to the southern edge,
turn around and face North. Slightly left is a rock ledge with a
large horizontal split at the bottom. The cache is located in this
crack. One must get on their hands and knees to look for this one
and retrieve it.
The contents of the cache are a small notepad with pen and
pencil, 4 SIMM sticks, a toothbrush holder and 2 cable ties.
