🇮🇹 Casa dei Draghi - Liberty a Torino
Nel quartiere di Cit Turin, non molto distante dalla famosa e magica Piazza Statuto, si trova il Palazzo della Vittoria, noto anche con il nome di Casa Carrera o Casa dei Draghi. Il magnifico edificio fu voluto dal Cavaliere del Lavoro Giovanbattista Carrera per celebrare la vittoria del primo conflitto mondiale (da qui il nome di Casa della Vittoria) e affidato all’ingegner Gottardo Gussoni che terminò i lavori nel 1922.
Il palazzo è sicuramente tra gli esempi più pregevoli in città del sapiente mix tra lo stile neogotico alla francese e lo stile liberty che tanto era di moda nella Torino a cavallo tra l’Ottocento ed il Novecento.
La Casa dei Draghi è costruita su cinque piani ed è riccamente decorata con dettagli riconducibili ai due stili architettonici.

🇬🇧 Casa dei Draghi - Liberty in Turin
In the Cit Turin district, not far from the famous and magical Piazza Statuto, is the Palazzo della Vittoria, also known as Casa Carrera or Casa dei Draghi. The magnificent building was commissioned by the Cavaliere del Lavoro Giovanbattista Carrera to celebrate the victory of the First World War (hence the name of the Casa della Vittoria) and entrusted to engineer Gottardo Gussoni who finished the work in 1922.
The building is certainly one of the most valuable examples in the city of the skilful mix between the French neo-Gothic style and the Art Nouveau style that was so fashionable in Turin between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The House of Dragons is built on five floors and is richly decorated with details attributable to the two architectural styles.
