The cache is on top of the escarpment. It is for 4WDs. The obvious route is challenging, the long roundabout route less so (track starts at N23°51.331; E046°20.110). The rewards for those that make it are magnificent views splendid scenery and the Saudi stony desert at its best. It is well worth doing the whole route. For the athletic, who may be unsure of their driving ability, a long scramble up the hill will get you to the cache.
The following is an extract from the log of Scarinian: It had been a bloody fight and again the enchanted Sword of Scalim had seen me through. With victory complete against the first cohort, I withdrew up the hill to rest. I then recalled the words of the Wise Old Hag of Kingdom “Do not lay yourself down to rest without first secreting the Tupperware Container of Riyadh for creatures of the night will attempt to take it from you.” I did as she instructed and placed the container in a hole on the Eastern side of the hill covering it from view with a few stones. The night was drawing in but before turning-in I took my fill of an appetising kettle of stewed rabbit…
