In recent years I have placed caches on Jeju Island, South Korea, on the trails that I used to walk and run. One of the routes I enjoy now goes between Valkenburg and Maastricht, about 12km in length and passing through some of Limburg's woodland and farmland. I've placed some caches along the way - enjoy!
I should mention that the highest point in South Korea, at 1950m, is Mount Halla, the volcano in the centre of Jeju. The whole island is volcanic and that means the soil drains very quickly. Even after heavy rain, you never really find mud. The same cannot be said of the trail along which I have placed these caches. In the winter, sections become very muddy and it can be difficult to avoid the puddles so appropriate footwear is necessary.
