Welton Grove Park is managed by Shawnee County Parks and Recreation. The 47.3-acre park is a natural area with mowed trails. The park is part of a storm water detention area. There is a small creek that winds through the wooded site. The area is a true hidden gem. I haven't designed this series to be particularly hard for experienced geocachers. The point of these caches is to take you to a destination you may not otherwise visit.
NOTE:
- None of the caches in this series will require you to go into or near the creek bed or cross onto the closed section of the trail.
- None of the caches require climbing.
- Parking is along neighboorhood streets but the trail entrance is marked or easily visible.
- Bring something to drink.
- I didn't see any poison ivy but it could pop up.
- Hiding this series was a CITO experience (Cache In TIC Out)
- The caches are hidden in expected locations.
- None of the containers are unusual.
There is an unactivated FTF tracakble for FTF (donated by dogmomof2).
