Geocache Description:

Prinesite svoje pisalo! Zaklad prosim vrnite na svoje mesto in bodite neopazni.

EN: The village of Brunk lies at an altitude of 561m and is the last ridge before the Dolenjska turns into the Sava valley. This point has been inhabited since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the discovery of mounds in a nearby forest. In the Middle Ages, the road from Dolenjska to Radeče led through Brunk.

The most impressive and recognizable building is the Church of the Holy Three Kings, which is also described by Primož Trubar at the time when he served in Loka near Zidani most as a priest.

The second church was the Church of the Mother of God, which was bombed and badly damaged during the Second World War, today only the bare walls remain. The place also experienced its darkest days during the war, when the Germans attacked the village and imprisoned people in the house and set it on fire.

I add testimonies that probably all of us who live nearby have heard as children from our grandparents. "At the time when the route between the Dolenjska and Sava valleys ran across here, bandits lived on Brunk, who often robbed caravans." I don't know if that's true.

Bring your pen! Please return the treasure to its place and be inconspicuous.
