Il lago di Cingoli, noto anche come lago di Castreccioni, è un lago artificiale creato da una diga sul fiume Musone negli anni Ottanta. L'acqua è molto pulita e cristallina e si incunea tra le colline così da formare tre lunghe ramificazioni e l'ambiente è particolarmente suggestivo, con il profilo delle montagne intorno allo specchio d'acqua che si riflette sul lago in mille colori. Lungo tutte le sponde del lago di Cingoli si trovano piante sommerse o semi affioranti che offrono ottimi ripari per persici trota e lucci di notevoli dimensioni. Nel lago sono presenti anche altri pesci quali lucioperca, trote fario, persici reali, cavedani, pesci gatto, carassi, scardole e carpe.
Lake Cingoli, also known as Lake Castreccioni, is an artificial lake created by a dam on the Musone river in the 1980s. The water is exceptionally clean and crystalline and wedges between the hills so as to form three long branches and the environment is particularly impressive, with the profile of the mountains around the mirror of water which reflects itself on the lake in thousands of colours. All along the shores of Lake Cingoli are submerged plants or emerging seeds that offer excellent shelter for largemouth bass and pike of considerable size. In the lake there are also other fishes such as zander brown trout, royal perch, chub, catfish, crucian carp, rudd and carp.
