The Northern Oval of the stadium precinct is a great place to come and have a kick while waiting for the game to begin, you will have to get in really early though as it is also used for game day parking.
During the summer just to the south you might catch sight of cricketers preparing for play with practice nets set up on the other side of the oval.
When needed this area can be fenced off and a stage erected to host concerts.
