The zig zag walkways on approach to the stadium are part of passive measures to spread the crowds leaving events out and stop pinch points and crushes of people on platforms.
Other measures include no esculators in the platform areas (lifts are available if needed) and being able to stage multiple trains to the east of this location with services working on opposite sides of the platform, as one train leaves another arrives.
