Welcome to the spot where the Tonopah & Goldfield Railroad crossed what is now U.S. Highway 95 - it was Nevada State Highway 3 back then. The T&G RR operated from 1907 to 1947 between Goldfield and Mina, NV - via Tonopah. Afterwards, all of the tracks were pulled up. At the GZ you are standing next to what was the railroad grade. If you look carefully to the North, you can see the grade on the other side of U.S. 95. And you easily see it for several miles south and north from this spot as you travel on the highway.
You are looking for small a Geocache lock-and-lock.
