This is part of a series of micro caches that I'm putting on all my favorite peaks. I don't want these to be hard to find, but they will be hard to get to.
You can get to Big Baldy a couple of ways, but I prefer the Dry Canyon route. Don't let the low miles fool you, Big Baldy demands respect. This is not a sunday stroll. You're going to be climbing 3,300 vertical feet in just about 3 miles. That's over 1000 feet per mile. But once you get to the top, it's all worth it.
The first thing you'll notice about this peak is how quiet it is. If it's not windy it's the kind of silence you can only find in the mountains. The view you can see is from Spanish Fork all the way to the point of the mountain. All of Utah Lake is visible. It's an emotional view.
When you find this cache, please post a picture of the view with your find. Also, bring a pen.
