Greetings everyone. New Mexico is in C-19 "Turquoise," which means we can have our "annual" geofest - this is probably our 10th anniversary, but between 2020 C19, and another year we cancelled for some reason, it's a WAG on that. So this time it's in Ruidoso Downs - the All American Park (where happens to reside GC7QW1Y).
Probably we'll put out 15 or so standard caches along and off the Billy the Kid Scenic Byway - U.S. 70, from All American Park area down to vicinity of San Patricio. I might do an Earthcache - there's something interesting about halfway to San Patricio.
It's a potluck, with burgers, dogs and buns covered by pjhunters and I. So as you hit "Will Attend," look to see what others are bringing so as to figure what you can bring to fill in the food gaps for the feast.
C19-wise, we should remain oriented to protocols. If the state color pattern changes to a lower color, we would have to cancel. Sure hope not but if so, because you made plans, you'd still want to come here as the caches would likely remain viable. We'll keep "Will Attends" closely posted. With the state leading nationwide in vaccinations, and surrounding states doing pretty good, everything should remain good-to-go.
