I know what you did last summer...
...stayed socally distant, kept to your bubble and wondered when COVID would be gone and you could have a proper summer vacation again. Right?
Life during the COVID pandemic isn't easy, especially in the summer. No big family BBQs, no traveling outside the province, no summertime festivals, no Regatta. Fortunately, we live in a beautiful province with lots to see and do so we all made the best of it, especially on days when the weather cooperated.
This cache is a tribute to summer days, to warm sandy beaches and frozen drinks with friends, to dips in the pool and feeling the sun on your face, to camping and picnics and hiking and going geocaching without a toque and rubber boots. It's a camouflaged 1kg PB container containing a logbook and pencil and lots of tropical-themed swag to trade. There's also a 3D-printed souvenir magnet for FTF!
Note: the trail may be quite muddy in spots- rubber boots are a good idea, depending on the day! Entering via the side closest to Whiteway Pond will take you the least muddy route, in our experience.
Here's to the upcoming summer, and the hope that we won't end up with face mask tanlines!
