Mentre nella mia prima lab cache, Ferrara's medieval churches, visitate la parte medievale della città, questo giro vi propone alcune chiese rinascimentali di Ferrara.

- Visita i 5 posti indicati. Nel caso di questa Adventure puoi visitare le chiese nell'ordine da te preferito. Al momento non è possibile giocare l'Adventure offline, devi avere il GPS e i dati accesi.
- Quando sei vicino alle coordinate degli stage (25 metri), puoi cliccare su "rispondi" in alto a destra della descrizione dello stage. Si apre una finestra con la domanda e un campo per inserire la tua risposta.
- Con ogni risposta giusta ricevi un punto di ritrovamento su Geocaching, e ricevi un indizio per calcolare le coordinate finali.
- Attenzione, dopo l'ultima risposta l'Adventure si chiude automaticamente, devi riaprirla e controllare il diario per vedere l'ultimo indizio.
Questi lab ti mostrano la zona rinascimentale di Ferrara. Tra andata e ritorno farai circa 4 chilometri a piedi. È possibile fare le lab con la carrozzina. È possibile abbinare questa lab cache all'altra lab cache (con le chiese medievali), per esempio facendo le chiese medievali all'andata e le chiese rinascimentali al ritorno.
La storia dietro a questa cache:
Nel 1782 esistevano 103 chiese e monasteri a Ferrara. Numerose chiese esistono ancora oggi, alcune hanno ora un diverso utilizzo, e di alcune non c'è più traccia. Segui le strade della Ferrara rinascimentale trova le chiavi per il tesoro bonus.
Stage 1 - Santa Barbara
La chiesa fu edificata dall'Arciduchessa Barbara d'Austria, seconda moglie di Alfonso II. Consacrata nel 1611 e rimase aperta fino al 1950.
Stage 2 - Santa Maria delle Grazie
Il complesso venne edificato entro il XVI secolo ed attorno al 1574 il convento ospitava oltre cento monache: Nel 1798 chiesa e monastero furono abrogati.
Stage 3a - San Matteo
La chiesa sorge dove sin dal 1580 era un Oratorio. Ebbe dignità parrocchiale dal 1758 al 1870, poi sino al 1910 rimase aperta al culto sino ad essere sconsacrata e chiusa nel 1910.
Stage 3b - Santa Monica
La chiesa fu consacrata dal vescovo di Comacchio Gillino Gillini il 13 luglio 1544. Nel 1796, in seguito alle soppressioni napoleoniche, il complesso fu chiuso e divenne di proprietà privata.
Stage 4 - Sant'Anna
Questa chiesa faceva parte del Ospitale Magno della città. La entrata è stata aggiunta più tardi nel 1930, quando gran parte degli edifici del vecchio ospedale furono demoliti.
Stage 5 - Santi Pietro e Paolo
La chiesa annessa all'ospedale, con dedicazione ai santi Pietro e Paolo, venne edificata nel periodo compreso tra il 1563 e il 1566. Venne chiusa definitivamente nel 1974.
Final - ?????
La chiesa venne eretta fra il 1496 e il 1553 dai monaci che, a causa della malaria, abbandonarono Pomposa. Nel 1612 vi fu sepolto Ludovico Ariosto, secondo la sua volontà, presso l'altare della Madonna. Oggigiorno la tua tomba si trova nella biblioteca comunale.
Dal 2022 al 2024 ci saranno lavori in zona del finale. Per questo occorre modificare le coordinate che ti dà l'app di Adventure Lab. N +18 E+3 !

While my first lab cache, Ferrara's medieval churches, shows you the medieval part of Ferrara, this Adventure lab tours the renaissance part of Ferrara.
Adventure Labs work in this way:
- Download the Adventure Lab app.
- Find Ferrara on the map and open the Adventure Lab "Ferrara and its lost renaissance churches". You can also use this link: https://adventurelab.page.link/LUot
- Visit the 5 stages. The GPS and the data connection must be switched on (at the moment is not possible to save an Adventure Lab for offline use).
- When you are less than 25 meters away, you can click on "Answer" next to the title of every stage. A screen with the question appears, please enter your answer there.
- With every correct answer, you'll get a Lab Cache find and a hint to finding the final cache.
- Attention, after logging the last lab cache successfully, the lab will automatically close. You have to open it again and check the journal entries to see also the last piece of information.
This Adventure Lab will show you the renaissance part of Ferrara. It's a one-way-labcache, included returning to the car please calculate 5km. The labs are wheelchair friendly, the bonus container is unfortunately not reachable for wheelchair cachers.
Some history behind this cache:
In 1782 there were 103 churches and monasteries in Ferrara. Many of those churches still exist today, but some of them were deconsecrated and are used completely different today, and others have disappeared entirely.
Stage 1 - Santa Barbara
The church was built by archduchess Barbara of Austria, second wife of Alfonso II. It was sanctified in 1611 and open until 1950.
Stage 2 - Santa Maria delle Grazie
This complex was built in the 16th century and in the year 1574, more than 100 nuns lived in the monastery. In 1798 the church and the monastery were abandoned.
Stage 3a - San Matteo
Since 1580 there was a parish church in this place, and later another church was built. It was used for masses from 1758 to 1870 and then closed in 1910.
Stage 3b - Santa Monica
This church was sanctified on July 13th 1544. In 1796, after the arrival of the troops of Napoleon, the complex was closed and became a private property.
Stage 4 - Sant'Anna
This church was a part of the big city hospital. The entrance that you can see nowadays was added only in 1930 when the major part of the hospital was demolished.
Stage 5 - Santi Pietro e Paolo
Another church next to a hospital. This church was built between 1563 and 1566 and closed down in 1974.
Final - ?????
This church was built from 1496 to 1553 by monks that left the Pomposa monastery near to the sea because of Malaria issues. In 1612 the poet Ludovico Ariosto was buried in an an altar here, nowadays you can find his tomb in the library.
From 2022 to 2024 there are construction works in the area of the final cache. For this please add N +18 and E+3 to the final coordinates that the Adventure Lab App tells you !
