綠川風華再現！緊鄰中興大學校園的綠川水環境興大段，該工程兼顧防洪、水質、景觀及居民生活需求，整治後綠川沿岸成為舒適的休閒空間。
台中市「綠川」貫穿中、西及南區，河道長5.7公里，綠色工法整治，將工程延伸至南區，包括興大段(信義南街至忠明南路)、長春運動中心段(愛國街至信義南街)及綠空鐵道段(民權路至復興路)。工程採低衝擊開發工法及海綿城市概念，減少水泥構造外型，藉由污水截流改善水質；復興園道更新設「水淨樂園」主題遊戲區，寓教於樂打造美麗水岸景觀。現今興大南側有景致優美的康堤、西側有親水樂活的綠川，校園由漂亮的河川圍繞，未來西側校門也將開放，進入校園即是綠意盎然的綠色隧道，往裡走有中興湖，以及興建中的校史館，串連勤美綠園道及火車站的單車道，整治後的綠川加上興大校內豐富生態環境，成為中市具特色的觀光旅遊景點。
