Suggested parking at the car park at the very end of North Hill (51°13'04.7"N 3°33'40.5"W) where you'll find great views and fantastic sunsets on a clear day. From here there are lots of beautiful walks around Selworthy and Bossington hills. Also a very steep walk down to Bossington Beach!
This geocache is located at the cairn (pile of rocks) on the headland to the north. It's about 20 minutes walk from the car park, not easily accessible by wheelchair.
From the car park, start on the path towards the North East. Follow your nose up and around, towards the cairn. After 600m there's a wide intersection; Take the fork down to the left for the most direct route.
Bossington Cairn is a scheduled monument, dating back to the Late Neolithic period to the Late Bronze Age (probably 2400-1500BC). Most round cairns are funerary monuments, rubble mounds covering single or multiple burials (we considered calling this cache 'A view to die for').
The cache is hidden at the base of the cairn in a medium sized tupperware box. Contents when placed: pencil, sharpener, logbook, instructions and various toys.
