The temple is dedicated to borders born poet and playwright James Thomson who wrote 'The seasons'
The monument features 9 ionic columns, a shallow domed roof and bronze figures of the Four Seasons
These were installed in 2002 to replace the original missing centrepiece of the statue
(Apollo with his 9 daughters (The Muses)
there is parking nearby and the Temple is accesed by crossing the Dryburgh suspension bridge.
