Rapid City's "M-Hill" Traditional Cache
Dakota Nardi: I climbed the hill using the direct route and found nothing. The cache was unfortunately mugged and no longer in-service. I will replace this one so the M-Hill cache is being archived. A thank you to those who enjoyed finding the cache along with climbing the hill for the first time.

The cache is in a new location as of 5/11/03. The cache is located
near "M-Hill" in Rapid City. A South Dakota School of Mines and
Technology (SDSM&T) alumni, student, professor or anyone in
Rapid City would know where the "M" is in Rapid City.
Clues:
There are many trails that will take you to the cache. I would
suggest one, park N44*05.039 and W103*15.117. You will then cross
the Rapid Creek bridge and find two trails, chose the trail at
N44*05.088 and W103*15.127. If you can stay on the bike trail that
leads north just below the cache location, you are in for a
comfortable hike; however, the temptation to take the direct route
could prove for a rough hike -- be careful!
History:
There is a lot of history on this hill. During the last SDSM&T
school reunion, the school had lights installed so the hill would
be eluminated for the reunion. Each graduating class has a place
marker with the graduating seniors. The "D" letter has a majority
of the markers; however, the "M" letter has more of the school's
history carved into it.
