Geocache Description:

This cache is all about finding a forgotten treasure and it takes some effort to find it.

Are you brave, adventurous, and devoted geocacher? If you answered yes, then you can try to find this treasure. But beware! You will first have to find a message in the bottle, than a sunken shipwreck (or what is left of it) at the bottom of the sea and then and only then you will maybe be able to determine the coordinates of the forgotten treasure. Now let the story begin…

It all started some forty-five decades ago here in Zambratia. There was a ship anchored in the bay. It was not a very big one, twenty-eight men altogether with captain and all. They planned to rest for thirteen days here in this small village but stayed four weeks instead. The ship needed some repairs, and the men needed some time off. They were sailing for thirteen months already and were in desperate need of some company and joy on solid ground. The villagers welcomed them warmly and they were invited to dine in one of the thirty houses every evening. But the sailors had their big secret. On their ship there was a special treasure that they came along several months before on an abandoned island. They decided that this small village with its friendly occupants is the right place to hide this treasure before continuing their journey to more dangerous places. It took them five weeks to decide where exactly to hide the treasure. They have heard so many stories about treasures being forgotten that they decided to prevent this. They had five different ideas but at the end they decided to write incomplete instructions about finding their treasure on a piece of paper, put it in the bottle and throw it into the sea when they would reach open waters. The missing information was carved into the deck of the ship so no one could steal it.

And so, the day of the departure came, sailors were excited, female villagers were crying and their male companions were relieved that this strange visit was coming to an end. It was a cloudy summer afternoon, wind was blowing hard, and the sails were prepared. But what tragedy! As soon as the ship started to sail, the fickle summer wind changed to libeccio. Every sailor knows how dangerous this wind can be, as it generates extremely rough seas and brings abundant rainfall. The ship was right above the reef when the waves became as high as the deck. The ship was moving from side to side until it finally smashed on the reef. Immediately there was a huge hole at the bottom of the ship, and before anyone could react the ship sunk. The villagers were looking for survivors for two weeks but there were none.

Now you know how it all begun and it is up to you how it will end. Do you dare to try? Good luck!

P.S.: I must thank daisy914 and penzič who made the sunken part of this cache for me - you are the best stone artists!   And another thanks goes to dejkobejko, lucy_003, lukajecar and lilizika, who helped me sunk that part.
