Cache is called as such as its very close to 'The Torry Coo' which is formally known as the Girdleness Foghorn. The foghorn was last sounded in 1988 ( replaced by radar ) after starting up in 1902 but remains an impressive presence on the coastline.
Its an area we visit semi regularly as the kids love the lighthouse, the foghorn, the radar point along the path ( bad guys lair ) and then a nice little area for rockpooling / stone chucking below the foghorn. Also a good spot to watch the new harbour currently under construction.
Box is small / medium sized with plenty room for swaps for the kids but you will need to brign a pen. The area is pretty exposed to the elements so please replace as found as seems to be relatively well sheltered.
Keep a bit of an eye on the kids beside the Coo as its quite high and some steep verges around it and note access to the cache is from below the Coo so please dont try and clamber down the hill from the Coo
