The home located on the property near this cache was estimated to be built in 1920. Although, no building records actually exist. Barton County's first documented sell of the home was in 1935 to a Fern Jewell Bentley. Fern was the wife of Wayne Allen Bentley. The Bentley family owned a use to be well known hardware store, formerly located at Forest and Williams. It is rumored this house was built by the same builders as many of the buildings in the downtown area. Happy Geocaching!
