V podzimních dnech je vhodné si připomenout jednoho ze zakladatelů samostatného Československého státu. Dne 18. října 1867 se v Nechanicích narodil Dr. Alois Rašín, autor textu prvního zákona o zřízení samostatného státu. Později se stal ministrem financí a přičinil se o stabilizaci a zpevnění měny. Bohužel to ale mělo nepříznivý vliv na finanční situaci lidu. Nejspíš proto se 5. ledna 1923 stal přímo u dveří svého bytu obětí atentátu, který na něho spáchal anarchista Josef Šoupal. 18.února 1923 pak těžkému poranění páteře přes veškerou lékařskou péči podlehl.
In the autumn time, it is appropriate to remember one of the founders of the independent Czechoslovak state. On 18.October 1867 in Nechanice was born Dr. Alois Rašín, the author of the text of the first law on the establishment of an independent state. Later, he has become finance Minister and contributed to the stabilization and currency strengthening. Unfortunately, this had an adverse effect to the financial situation of all the people. Therefore, probably, in January 5, 1923, he became the victim of the assassination , right at the door of his apartment, which was committed against him by the anarchist called Josef Šoupal. In February 18, 1923, then he succumbed to a severe spinal injury despite all medical care.

A proč je Rašínovi věnovaná keš právě tady? Českou Kubici Dr. Rašín pravidelně o prázdninách navštěvoval a často s rodinou svačíval u velkého obdélníkového balvanu v lese severně od vesnice. Kámen byl na jeho památku později nazván jeho jménem, na jednu jeho stranu pak vytesali výše uvedené Rašínovo krédo. Kéž by se jeho slovy řídili všichni politici...
And why is the cache dedicated to Rašín right here? Česká Kubice Dr. Rašín regularly visited Česká Kubice during his holidays and he often had lunch with his family at a large rectangular boulder in the forest North of the village. The stone was later named in his memory , to one of its side there was carved the Rashin's credo: "I wish his words all politicians ran ... "

Z doporučeného parkoviště jděte za závoru a před další zákazovou značkou uhněte vpravo po turistické modré. Ta vás dovede až ke kameni. Stezka příliš nepřeje cyklistům, půda je zde hodně měkká a nohy předchozích poutníků obnažily četné kořeny stromů, někde i leží napříč padlé kmeny.
From the recommended car park, go past the barrier and avoid the next prohibition sign right after tourist blue. It will take you to the stone. The trail doesn't want much cyclists, the ground here is very soft and the legs of previous pilgrims have exposed numerous tree roots, sometimes lying across the fallen trunks.
