This cache is located along a boardwalk overlooking a swamp area. Birds of many kinds, deer, raccoons, squirrles, and of course frogs can all be seen and herd from this lookout. This is one of Fredericton's hidden treasures.
Yes, if you're wondering, This cache used to exist many years ago. Formally named "Ribbit Ribbit". However, this swamp is a flood prone area. With 2 straight years with the St John river rising way beyond flood stage. It turned the entire boardwalk and surrounding area into a lake. The original boardwalk was taken down, along with the original cache for safety reasons. However, good times are finally returning. As the boardwalk has returned! It's a lot shorter now than it once was. But nonetheless, the "Ribbit Ribbit" cache must return! Now renamed to "Ribbit Ribbit 2.0". Seems fitting to me. Happy caching!
