ScouterDuck recently placed a cache here to introduce you to the ducks in this park. We would like to introduce the frogs. At the right time of day and at the right time of year, the frogs are very loud here. There are many different types in this area: little spring peepers, green frogs, big bullfrogs, lots of tree frogs and on the day we placed this cache we came across a pretty leopard frog on the bank of the stream.
Like most woods in Michigan, there are thorns, mosquitos, ticks and poison ivy here..
This is our first hide and we would like to give a shout out to the great hiders in the greater Lansing area who schooled us in geocaching: Farkletime who provided our first find, Mythical Collie who educated us in magnetic caches, StephaneyG and Akita Crew who showed us the many great parks here, technogardenclub who demonstrated how to design beautiful, exotic caches, CattleHausdog who taught us about bonus caches and beer, cachen coyote who introduced us to the ammo can and tb exchange, just for the fun who showed us series caches, IFollowRoads from whom we learned about cache adoption, the indomitable Sludge_Shoveler who provided our first Mystery cache, ScouterDuck who has a really impressive hide in this park and all the other CO's who provide a great game in this area.
