This cache is hidden along a trail next to the Deschutes River near the historic "Tetherow Crossing". Cache is in a tupperware container in a black garbage sack.
There is a good place to park at N44 18.786 W121 14.094 and the cache is approximately .6 miles up river. The trail is somewhat primative, sometimes used by horses and fishermen.
This cache is really worth the short hike up the trail as deer, quail, ducks and geese can often be spotted year-round. It is a great place to take your dogs if they love to swim.
"Tetherow Crossing" has lots of history for the early settlers in Oregon. I highly suggest learning more about the area prior to visiting, so you can get the most out of the experience.
