The stone nearby is part of the prism wall from the Enlarged Erie Canal that ran in this location from 1845 to
1916. To the east was Lock 30 and to the west the Schoharie Creek Aqueduct. These features remain as part
of Schoharie Crossing and are listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks. Please check out the
