This is my second attempt as my first one got muggled so I thought i'd change spots and a better hiding spot this time.
Diagonally accross the street this memorial was erected to honor the memory of those who served during the Spanish American War (1898-1902). The rear of the monument has the names of those who died in service from Morristown NJ.
That statue itself is called the Hiker, which is what the Veterans from this war are called. Similar to the veterans from WW1 are called Doughboys.
