If you are travelling westbound, we'd like to welcome you to the Rockbridge Area! please consider leaving some of your bugs here to be picked up by travellers on Ol' Route 60! (more on the history of US 60 below.) This Travel Bug Motel has plenty of room.
If you have a logbook stamp, flip to the red tab in the logbook to stamp. Pen and pencil users, use the front section.
Also, please don't take the dry packs. We have noticed that they keep the cache and log dry.
Thanks,
Detwilerclan
Completed in November of 1926, Route 60 is one of the longest roadways in America stretching from downtown Virginia Beach, VA to its first western terminus, Springfield, MO. In 1932 it was extended to Santa Monica, CA, becoming the longest continuous roadway in the US. Then in 1964, the State of California opted to replace its section with Interstate 10 from Beaufort to the AZ state line, and rename the remaining portion from Santa Monica to Beaufort as California Route 60.
